Getting the maximum use out of 375go:
To get the most of the app, you’ll want to explore as much of your local area as possible. You can achieve this by traveling around via:
- walking
- running
- biking
- driving
- or whatever other means of transportation you can think of
while having your mobile device on you. The areas you travel to will be marked by Hexes, which indicate the areas where speed tests have been run and contributed towards the network.
And that’s it! You let the app run in the background as you explore your world. For more info, please review the FAQ down below.
FAQ
What do I have to do in the app?
Once you’ve created an account, be sure to grant the necessary app permissions and then start moving around your local area. Simply move around and contribute data!
How do I connect my wallet?
For a guide on how to connect your wallet (on Devnet), visit: https://docs.375.ai/375go-Set-your-wallet-to-DEVNET-13d50b6d66918011a59ae25aace14d32?pvs=4
This is only applicable during testnet.
How do I earn rewards from the app?
By scanning hexes and contributing data.
What are hexes? What do they mean?
Hexes represent areas you’ve scanned via the mobile app. Scanning a hex means that your device is running a network quality test that measures the signal strength and overall network coverage of a particular area.
How do I scan Hexes?
Simply move around your local area while 375go runs in the background.
What kind of data is being collected from the app?
The app is collecting signal strength and overall network coverage/performance (i.e. 3G, 4G, LTE, 5G, and WiFi when applicable).
Do I have to walk or can I use this while driving?
You can do either of these. All that matters is that you’re physically moving around.
Will the hexes scan if I move slowly or quickly?
The hexes will scan regardless of the speed you are going.
Do I have to leave the app open?
No. 375go can run in the background, so you do not need to leave the app open.
What are these 375 testnet tokens? What can I use them for?
These are testnet tokens that are rewarded for your contributions and activity. At the end of the testnet, they will have a conversion rate towards the total mainnet rewards you receive.
How do I earn tokens?
You earn tokens by scanning hexes. The more hexes you scan, the more tokens you earn.
Can I swap my tokens?
Technically yes, but it’s just a testnet token. You should hold onto your earnings to calculate your mainnet reward.
Will testnet tokens be 1:1 for mainnet tokens?
No, but there will be a conversion rate based on how many testnet tokens you’ve earned.
There are no hexes in my local area, why is that?
That means no one in your area has started scanning hexes. Get out there and be the first!
I see many hexes around me, should I go to them?
Yes, you can go to those hexes and increase your hex count. Explore areas that YOU haven’t been to yet.
If I go to hexes that have already been scanned by another user, will I also get credit for going through there?
Yes, your hex count increases if you travel through hexes that have been scanned by someone else. However, if you take the same path everyday (from home to work/school, for example) you will only ‘update’ your hexes, which does not increase your hex count.
Can I use multiple devices?
Yes, you can use multiple devices. To do this, sign into the extra devices using the sign-in credentials from your primary account (username + password).
What do the numbers inside of the hexes mean?
The numbers represent the total number of small hexes that were scanned in a particular area. You can adjust this scaling by zooming all the way in or out on the map.
How long is each epoch?
1 week long. Epochs end every Sunday at Midnight (00:00 UTC).
Can I use my referral code?
Yes, it will grant you and the referee a bonus.
